I could have used this at work today… But then I realized that getting upset about something really is based on fear. Once I figure out what I am afraid of, I can take steps to remedy the situation.

Daily Painting #15: Circle of Women
I made this piece in a visual journaling workshop this weekend, and I love it so much I want to share it. I love how lose and free it is, yet also defined. I love the story it tells. I mostly have shied away from circles, but I am realizing more and more what aContinue reading “Daily Painting #15: Circle of Women”
Daily Painting #14: Rest
I had a ton of fun this weekend in a visual journaling workshop and am super excited and inspired. And I know I have a busy week at work ahead of me. But tonight I will not think of either. I will be here with myself in the moment, so that my body can getContinue reading “Daily Painting #14: Rest”
Daily Painting #13: No Substitutes
Having come down with a stomach bug, it’s easy to just curl up in bed in pity. But this is the time to remind myself that I do not need to accept any substitutes for what I want. It helps my will to get better and be well.
Daily Painting #12: Discovery
I am looking to rediscover myself. I feel the need to go past all the layers of how I am at work and in social situations and relationships and find myself. Discover what I will do or say if little or no “have to’s” are present. Since I haven’t said it before, I thought IContinue reading “Daily Painting #12: Discovery”
Daily Painting #11: Good
While I accept and welcome good stuff in my life, I recently realized that I don’t think of it as a normal state in my life. I kind of imagine myself floating along average, and every once in a while a good thing shows up. I think it would be in my power and interestContinue reading “Daily Painting #11: Good”
Daily Painting #9: The Right Way
Have you ever called situations into your life you thought would be exactly what you wanted, but then it turned out that some of the details weren’t what you envisioned? Like wanting a break from work, and getting the flu. Well, I read that by using this phrase you avoid such unwanted scenarios: Everything happensContinue reading “Daily Painting #9: The Right Way”
Daily Painting #8: “I Stand by Me”
Daily Painting #7: “Stay Positive”
Still looking….
Daily Painting #6: “I Choose”
I choose the life I have created. I choose the man I am with. I choose to be happy with that I have chosen.
Daily Painting #5: “How will I be?”
No matter what the circumstances, I have a choice. By focusing on the possibility of being a certain way I call more of those energies into my life. I think it’s the place I can actually create change in my life …
Daily Painting #4: “Strength”
Ok, it was a tough day at work – but whenever I run into a tough challenge, I try to remind myself of my epic journey up Mt. Whitney last year. Then, everything else falls into place and doesn’t seem so overwhelming anymore.
Daily Painting #3: “Healing”
It’s a good reminder for me when I get worried about my health. Even when it seems overwhelming, my body is constantly working on healing itself. Probably better if I don’t get in the way….
Daily Painting #2: “Approved”
No cherry picking – today is about accepting all of myself. Naturally this piece went through a few renditions…
30 in 30 Project
The idea sounded simple: 30 Paintings in 30 Days. Although a lot of work, I supposed, it seemed doable. There were so many potential benefits that I wanted, like facilitating quick growth, gaining confidence, and building a strong body of work. But most of all I just wanted to do something different, something I hadn’tContinue reading “30 in 30 Project”
